And the answer is .........
Cherbourg in the rain and gales on Mayday. Yes, we are still here! Unfortunately one of the new instruments we had installed over the winter - namely the echo sounder - failed to work - either that or everywhere has a depth of 0.7 metres. Apparently the new transducer is faulty so one was duly ordered from the manufacturer, Garmin but, wait for it............ transducers for this instrument were out of stock and unavailable until the first week of May. So we are still here. I have an earworm - the old Queen song: " I want to Break Free"!.
Ah well, what can one do? We don't have to go to work so we are just taking what comes and doing some extra boat jobs - such as replacing all the old water pipes with sparkling clean new ones and cleaning all the upholstery. We are also getting out and about and enjoying the spring weather (until today). Friends pointed us in the direction of some very nice sparkling wine at 1 euro 25 cents so we have added some weight to the boat lockers and we await further developments ....
